Family History
A Tradition of Pride Continues
Over the last 50 years, many auto glass shops have come and gone in the western PA area, but one that has been in existence that whole duration, and is still flourishing, is Ryan's Auto Glass. Ryan's auto Glass has continued to grow for the past 50 years due to an abundance of reasons, but two of the most important ones are pride and craftsmanship.
The dynasty of Ryan's Auto Glass began in the 1930s, when Jack Zukerman went to work for an auto salvage business; he realized that there was quite a market for replacement auto glass, and that not many other people were offering such a service. Finally, in 1952, Jack opened Sharpsburg Auto Glass Company, which would later become Ryan's Auto Glass. The craft that Zukerman developed was handed down through Jack's son, Bob, and grandson, Jeff. Ryan's Auto Glass has remained a proud family business for 50 years and counting.
What makes Ryan's Auto Glass different from other auto glass shops? According to Jeff, some of the biggest differences are:
The use of OEM glass rather than cheaper aftermarket versions -- only the best and correct glass is used, ever inferior aftermarket models. Ryan's uses PPG, LOF, Ford and Mopar auto glass.
Experience - most of the technicians at Ryan's have been there for over 15 years, and are NGA Certified Technicians.
The use of proper adhesives for save drive-away time - only the best adhesives are used for installation. The proper use of these adhesives reduces the chance of leakage or corrosion.
Ryan's is also known for their superior customer service; they pride themselves on growing their clientele "one customer at a time." Because of their experience with "about every possible insurance carrier," most auto glass problems are fixed quickly without the tiresome red tape we all hate to go through.
If auto glass is not installed correctly or with the proper materials, rust, corrosion, and leaks can set in. The windshield also acts as a backboard for a car's airbags; if the windshield has been replaced incorrectly, it and the airbags can actually blow out of the window. For these reasons, safety has always been a number one priority for Ryan's Auto Glass.
Aside from all of this, Ryan's offers a lifetime of vehicle warranty, free mobile service, and stone ship repair service. "For 50 years," Jeff Zukerman says, "we've had the same friendly service and the same values." Once you've visited one of the three Ryan's locations, or used their mobile service, it's hard to argue Jeff's statement. It's obvious that pride and craftsmanship shine through on every job at Ryan's Auto Glass.
All of our installers are NGA certified and average over 10 years experience for the highest level of safety and satisfaction.
Ryan's Auto Glass is a distinguished member of PPG Prostars. Prostars is made up of only the most elite auto glass companies and Ryan's has been honored by appearing in nearly all of their publications.
